Questions venues ask us.
Do my drapes need fire treatment?
It depends on the fabric. Inherently flame retardant fabric such as wool serge is not treated. Treated fabrics need treatment renewed over time, and untreated fabric needs treating before it hangs. Not sure what is hanging? We check first.
What does the treatment certificate state?
That the fire retardant treatment was applied by a trained and competent technician. Keep it with your insurance and audit records, along with our aftercare guidance. See fire treatment.
How long does fire treatment last?
Usually 2 to 3 years, depending on use, moisture and cleaning. If a treated drape gets wet, book a re-treatment before it hangs again.
Is the hire stock fire rated?
Hire stock is made with FR fabrics which meet AS 1530 standards. Blacks, velvets, voiles and moltons are on the shelf; see Rentals and Hire for your dates.
Do you install on our existing track and rigging?
Yes. We fit drapes to what you already run, manual or motorised. Tracks, motors and fly systems are engineered by Theatre Safe Australia, so drape and system come from the one group.
